Ruth and Isaac had known each other all their lives, which is common among the Amish. And as such, through tradition, should marry. But they each loved someone else. Isaac loves Katie, Ruth's sister and Katie loves him. But for her sister she is willing to forego the feelings and let Ruth have her beloved.But Ruth loves Samuel Miller. However, his family and thus Samuel too, were off limits due to a family argument.In the last chapter it all works out....and there is a double wedding!
This is a clean Amish romance where the arranged marriage of Isaac and Ruth does not go as planned, but with faith in God all works out of the best in the end. I enjoyed the story of Katie and Isaac and Ruth and Samuel showing that God works in mysterious ways.
The bonds of sisterhood unite and help both find the true love God has for them, even when itvis not one their parents thought.
So good. Loved it
I highly recommend this book. Looking forward to reading more of this author's books. Short but sweet. Good story line.
GREAT BOOK!
Reading the verse where Katie thinks of her sister's Ruth boyfriend. Is like an early ray peeking over the hills of Lancaster, and it warmed her heart. I knew once again that Sandra has written another unusual thoughtfully book.Issac and Ruth trying to please the bishop, parents, letting time go by. Till the meetings with parents to set wedding date, did the true feelings come out. Would this had been different, had there not been bad feelings with the Miller family?Though the story is short, there is a lot into it. Of how things said can cause problems for others .Well done, Sandra....Book you will enjoy and ponder on, after reading.
This was a sweet story about how arranged marriages don't always go the way they were planned to. Unfortunately the title pretty much gave away the story line before I even got one chapter into it. Although I have ready many of Sandra Becker's books, this wasn't one of my favorites. I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review.
