This book and the others in this series will take you on a entertaining adventure. Kathleen is a creative story teller. I have read numerous book by her and I have never been disappointed. Each story will pull you in so you long for the next addition. I highly recommend you read this story and the others in this series and all title's by Kathleen.
Must have kleenex with you when reading. The civil war era (to me) has always been a depressing unjust time for me to read about. People on both sides were unjustly accused and punished. This story is no different. My heart went out to Iris in this story and I'm not sure how things got so out of hand with her and Lex.
The twists & turns of the story held me in suspense. The very trying times that Iris & Lex went through kept me reading until the end. I couldn't put it down.
Kathleen's books always end in a HEA, despite all the hardships along the way. I enjoyed this 4th book and I liked the characters. Hope to see more of them in the next book. JudyE
Iris is assaulted the minute she gets off the stage by the soldiers that run the town. Lex saved her and takes her to the ranch. She has lost her family because they were spies during the war. She and Alex draw close and then she is sentenced to death. But a last minute reprieve saves her. She pushed Lex away and he leaves. But in the end they find their way back to each other and get married.
I have been enjoying Ms. Ball's stories regarding people recovering from the Civil War. This was a different type of story dealing with spies. I did enjoy reading it and recommend it.
This is the fourth book in this series about the town of Spring Water and the mail order brides finding love
This 4th one in this serie is amazing. The entire serie is good and i can’t wait for the next one. A must to read.
